Le cas Sylvère Ahorugeze: pour le Rwanda c'est pas fini

Kigali: Government does not consider Sweden’s decision to suspend the extradition of Genocide fugitive Mr. Sylvere Ahorugeze as final but just as a “postponement”, according to the Justice Minister.  

Mr. Tharcisse Karugarama said Sweden was bound by European law that is why it accepted to stay sending the fugitive to Kigali when the European Court of Human Rights requested.

“In any case no one intends to kill Ahorugeze, he will only answer for the allegations against him just like everybody else”, Karugarama said on state radio.

Swedish government decided last week that Ahorugeze, a 53-year-old former director of Rwanda's civil aviation authority, would be extradited within 45 days.
